'Sup.

I'm a relatively boring person living in North Pole, Alaska.

Found osu! will being bored on youtube, and it looked like a nice distraction considering I played a lot of EBA back in the day.

If someone could point me towards some guides on making beatmaps, i'd appreciate it, I understand the relative basics, but sliders do not like to cooperate with me.

Hi hi and welcome!

Try the FAQ under help.
It's right up there ^ you can't miss it (or can you?)

Anyway, welcome to the forums! I hope you make a lot of beatmaps! AND BE PREPARED FOR A HEAVY WORKLOAD.

Hope you be active on the forums also.

I burned through the FAQ, sliders just don't seem to cooperate with me when it comes to curving them, and getting their distance right.

Im fairly confident I got the BPM correct, but if I wanted to get someone to double check it, how would I go about doing that, the BSS? If so, how would I go about doing that?
Ive read the FAQ's documentation on the BSS, but can I get an explanation of how it works, how to use it, and what it outputs into the forums?

For the BSS, you just use the upload option under file and upload your beatmap to the correct forum, WiP and timing help in your case, it should do most of the work for you.
As for a mod, there is a channel inside of osu called #mod, you can get there by clicking "(+) New..." and selecting mod, you can ask there for someone to check your beatmap.

And sliders? You can change the style of the sliders under one of the menus to different kinds like shaped curves, smooth curves and straight lines.
Alrighty, that answers my questions then, thanks.
