Yeah, well... It's not like you're born with it.
Practice makes perfect. Literally. My first 2 maps weren't even timed. I set no offset or BPM. I timed each individual note manually because I didn't know what the hell I was doing.
After making about 15 maps, I leveled up and am where I am now.
Just takes practice man. And patience. You gotta WANT to map. If you enjoy doing it, you'll get better.

Also be careful what songs you're choosing. If you are a novice beatmapper you might want to start with some "warmup" songs from genres like pop-rock, techno or rap. Stay away from orchestrated pieces and progressive rock/metal because they will be the death of your resolve.
