BPM increasing/decreasing not working in the beatmap maker

When editing BPM in the "Timing" section while creating a beatmap, none of the buttons for changing BPM work

You first have to click the green "+" to add a new timing point, before being able to adjust the bpm and such

you can use the shortcut key which is Ctrl+Shift+P to make it easier.
