I just had this idea while watching a video about osu!, it is just a kinda little thing to add, but it would help some people or making stuff a bit easier/faster.

I know some players who sure have some kind of "favorite mods" and play/clear most maps with that..so why don't make them faster accessible?

I had a little idea here: In the mod selection, you can favorite a mod (either by right clicking or holding, I don't know) and that one will appear on the song-selection, so you can fast de/select it everytime you want to use it...may it be Auto, HD, HR or NF, everthing could be added and to make the "fast-selection" not bloated there should be a limit of maximum 3 mods to be added.

Concept:

After 3 or less favorite mods are selected you would see the thing in the screenshot above, when hovering over the Mods-Button. Now, you could easily select them with clicking on them or click the key (as needed in the mod-selection itself) to select that mod.

All you're saving is half a second. It's already quickly accessible, especially if you learn to use the shortcuts.
edit: Actually, you won't be saving any time. Using shortcuts will always be the fastest way to access these mods.

using the shortcuts should be easy enough. use them enough and it'll be pretty easy to select mods in a second >_<

I vaguely remember another thread mentioning a "Global" mod settings. I can't find it at the moment.

The idea was (once again, vaguely) to allow customisation of which mods are the players "default mod" for every map.

seems you are lazy to select your mods. if you take a combination of shortcut keys for many times then it is posible for you to select it faster .

Sounds like a neat idea. I would use it. It would be nice if you could choose a different mod group for each gamemode.

I'm not lazy. It's only for convenience.

And for the record this would save up to 3 seconds, not 0.5 seconds. Well if you were already impatient at selecting mods, it would save 0.5. But for someone who isn't trying to click the mods as fast as possible, it will save over a second.
