I don't know if it's somehow hard to set up and make it happen.

But one thing that could be helpful is when you search for beatmaps, that the beatmaps you already have downloaded (and installed in osu) don't show up (get excluded from search results), or if that's too hard - than at least maps you didn't play.

Why? Say you wanna search by a big ganre or keyword and don't want to scroll through all the beatmaps you downloaded, since the order of the beatmaps can change, skipping the approximate paragraph of beatmaps you downloaded could include a map that you might wanted to download.

Y feel me?

This would be nice to have, as it already exists in osu!direct, however that means it would likely be a supporter only feature if it was added. Unfortunately, osu! doesnt keep track of downloaded maps, so this wouldnt be possible at this point in time. I believe it keeps track of them locally, and that how it works in direct, but on the web this wouldnt be implementable yet :(

Yeah, but the web database knows which beatmaps you played before and which you didn't or no?

Ye ye, just not downloaded or maps installed on your computer. If you are looking for "beatmaps you played before" to not show up, this is already a feature. Unfortunately you must be an osu!supporter to use it, but you can click "unplayed" in the search filters on the website, or I believe you can type "unplayed=" to get the same results.
