Just an idea for shader based cursor trails with in game user defined settings in the options menu.
The idea is to have cursor trails that aren't broken up because they're image based, but rather a visual effect using openGL shaders.
There could be several sliders for things like trail diameter, fade time, softness/blur etc.
As well as a drop down color selector. (could be a different style of color picker than the one in my concept image)
