Issue with ingame/website country detection [resolved]

(It's been like this ever since I started playing osu!)

Long story short: (actually, short story) My country ingame shows incorrectly, and it doesn't show at all in the website/forums. Is the problem with osu!'s country detection system or is it an issue in my computer?

I'd like to know what I can do to have my country show correctly.

The flag on the web profile is determined on your IP address when you first registered on osu!. In your case, since you have no flag on your profile, that means that the website was unable to find the country associated with your IP address. If you'd like a flag, you could post a request here and hope that somebody will accept it.

In-game: your country is determined on your current IP address. So if you use a proxy, VPN or if your IP is just not associated with any country, it could be wrong. In that case, there's not much to do alas.
