Let's make EZ mod.... easy

Let's face it: EZ mod is horrendously difficult. The huge circles paired with the tiny ar makes maps VASTLY more challenging, especially in the reading department. This would be alright if it was designed to make the game harder, but it isn't as the name suggests AND where it is placed in the mod selection menu.

Granted there are some great ideas within the mod itself: retrying the map twice before actually loosing and lower hp drain are magnificant. We need to curb down on the lowering of ar and the increasing size of circles, especially in this era of mapping meta that the EZ mod wasn't made for. Maybe we can make it reduce/increase the ar and cs by one respectively, or something along those lines.

However, for those people who want that challenge, we can just port over that ar & cs change to a different mod that allows users to actually gain pp and rank for their efforts on such a difficult mod.

I don't think I get what you're saying here, no one actually plays ez mods to make the map "easy", the no-fail and the halftime mods are usually more used. Moreover, it is a gimmick mod, and imo it's positioned correctly in the difficult-reduction mods as it halves your OD, thus, makes it easier. YOU may not be able to read the low ar but some players have specialized in that, hell, there are even ezdt farmers out there.

My above statements should answer this, it's a gimmick mod, not everyone is supposed to play it; like flashlight where for some players it's horrendously difficult, but some have specialized on it.

I could see this being added to lazer because it's already implemented in Mcosu, what I don't agree tho, is making it possible to gain pp from this, that completely destroys the point of mods because it's one mod but everyone plays it differently. I'd probably suggest making those plays unranked or, much better and easier: keep ez mod.

Well that's the exact problem. Why should it be marketed as an "easy" modification for a map in which, for the most part, it clearly isn't? As I stated in my opener, there are things included in the mod to make it easier, however no one uses the mod for that purpose as you clearly stated here; so I believe it is high time to rectify this to make these the main reason you use the mod, and hencforth the users who're new to the game that do use it will actually use it for it's intended purpose on creation: to make maps easier to play.

Another problem with this is that people who do play it for that extra challenge aren't rewarded for it. I apologise, but I disagree with your statement:

The whole reason for this to happen (in regular osu! and not lazer at least) is because they are more difficult to play, and pp should be a representation of difficulty (let's not discuss if the pp system actually does this as this isn't a discussion about that system). Due to this, they should be rewarded for such, and would actually change the metta of gaining pp so more people play such a mod (basically "should I go for hr or the completely opposite mod to improve my rank?"). This also would introduce different avenues to playing for highest rank on a map for the same reason, opening up people to different ways to play the game.

Imo mods like EZ and HR should be tossed away in favor of customizable AR and CS with presets for EZ and HR. Just my 2c
