[resolved] Fps drops when hovering

Problem details: I play with a tablet and prefer hovering to not ruin it and it just feels more comfortable. The problem is that when I'm hovering the pen, the frame drops. When I drag on the tablet, it restabilizes, but it's really uncomfortable to play. At the start I tought it was just the cursor being less smooth, but now I noticed that everything gets a bit choppy.

osu! version: Stable 20210208.2 (latest)

Do you have your ingame fps counter on? (You can enable this in the settings) Does you fps or ms actually lower when you hover?

If so, try turning off windows in your tablet drivers.
If that doesnt work, try turning off "enable tablet pc compatibility" in the drivers.

I forgot to respond, really sorry!
And yes, the in-game fps counter shows fps drops. For example in the song selection dragging gives 110 fps, while hovering 70fps. I tried to find those two options you told me about in the driver, but I couldn't find them. Would you care to explain how to find them?

I believe there should be a Window Ink checkbox in the mapping tab of the Wacom Tablet Properties. It should be somewhere in your tablet properties according the manual at the very least.

it is possible that the problem come from the driver itself. have you tried checking if you got the latest version of it ?

I just tried to update it and.. you're right! The driver was the problem itself. I forgot to update it. Now it's fixed, thanks for the help!

I recently reinstalled osu after buying a drawing tablet to give it ago and noticed I had huge framerate drops when using the pen rather than my mouse. Turning off full screen mode mode completely fixed the issue for me.
