can someone tell me how mania sliders work because I always seem to break on them and its dumb.

Really not sure why this is in the development forum, however they work pretty much the same as osu!standard sliders as far as I know. you press a key at the start of it, hold the key down, and release it at the end.

oh you realease it at the end in stead of just holding it down, that makes sense. also I miskicked when putting it into the forums.

Yeah they're a little different than other vsrg's. Sliders in mania have two timing windows at the start and end, so you have to both press and release them accurately to get a perfect judgment. Kinda dumb, but honestly creates some interesting and fun LN maps!

I'll have you know that most of the VSRGs I know count the LN hit and release notes. However, one VSRG that I know that doesn't count LN release is Etterna. It ain't dumb at all. You'll just have to practice on how to release LNs precisely.

Definitely didn't word that well, my bad. I was more speaking towards stuff like etterna and stepmania. Though, I guess that was a bad choice considering this is a beginner thread lmao.

But no, you're totally right, most other games have that feature, which isn't a bad thing! I think it's a pretty fun skillset to learn, though most people tend to skip out on it entirely unfortunately.
