I want to try and map a song with friend with 3 or 4 difficulties for fun but we don't know how to collab let along make a beat map set can someone help

You shouldn't be posting in this forum if you're trying to map a song with a friend let alone looking for help.. Try the Mapping Techniques Subforum instead.
For your friend to work on the same map as you, they should download the map first. After they have a copy of the mapset you must share the .osu file with them which can be found in the song folder from the "File" dropdown menu at the top left of the editor.
In order to work on things like that you should probably get a brief understanding of how the editor works by checking out the wiki for getting started on beatmapping, or you could take a look at a video format of some of the main basics of the editor.
