Using HD image as background. [solved]

I'm too lazy to search (I'm on phone anyways) so sorry if its already asked before.

Is it okey to use image with full hd (1920x1080) resolution? It was a special request and I don't want to not use it so if not then possible to convert somehow to a usable size?

Thanks in advance. :3

Edit: I mean, is it possible to convert without quality loss?

The answer to your main question is in the ranking criteria http://osu.ppy.sh/wiki/Ranking_Criteria.
"Background images must be at a maximum of 1024x768 pixels for 4:3, 1366x768 pixels for 16:9."

As for converting, you would obviously have a loss of quality because of your loss in pixels, but the picture itself should look fine for its new resolution.

I knew this, but since osu! is now in full hd I guessed this was changed too. But if not then its ok.

As long as it is looks fine I'm ok with it. ^^
