[resolved] beatmap has osu! mode on edit but can only play catch

Problem details:
beatmap has osu! mode on edit but can only play catch. the map plays complete but i cant seem to play it. anyone has encountered this problem?

osu! version: Stable 20210208.2 (latest)

In the song setup menu, under "advanced", change the mode to the desired mode(osu!standard) in the drop down. osu!catch and osu!taiko are mapped using the normal editor btw, thats why it appears as osu!standard in the editor.

STD will be showed up as "All" btw
