I know the guidelines say to keep one request per topic, but these are all related to the storyboard editor, and somewhat related to each other. Plus I don't want to make loads of threads.
These are all suggestions to make Storyboarding easier and/or faster.
1. Curved movement of objects
-Objects can travel on a path, instead in a single direction (Horizontal, Vertical, Diagonal), allowing for curved movement.
-Can be similar as to how a slider works. (Maybe?)
-This would be easier than having to make lots of key frames.
2. Changing the rotational origin of an object
-Change the point at which the object rotates around.
3. Grouping objects
-Objects that are grouped will act together in the editor.
-For rotating, there should be two different types:
A) Each object rotates around it's own origin separately.
B) All the objects rotate around a center point, which means they will both move and rotate.
-Objects should be able to grouped and degrouped anytime.
-This should not affect the .osb or beatmap.
4. Pinning objects (May not be necessary if suggestion #2 is implemented)
-Similar to grouping, but consists of two objects, where there is a point on where the objects are "connected," so when one object that is pinned is rotated, that object will rotate around that point where the objects are pinned.
5. Double clicking on the objects on the object list should bring you to first occurrence of the object in the beatmap
-Similar as to selecting beats in the Beatmap Editor.
-One of the main problems I have with the editor is finding a spot in the map that I want to have the object at, then selecting the object in the object list, and having to find that spot again the map, because it brought me to the first occurrence of that object on the time line.
-Single click should just select the object.
6. Same time line as the Beatmap Editor
-It would be nice to see the other ticks other than just the quarter beats.
7. Gridsnap
-Same as the Beatmap Editor.
-The objects would snap to the grid by the origin of the object.
8. Lock Object(s)
-Same as Lock Notes in Beatmap Editor, except with objects.
9. Move Objects with Arrow Keys
-Allow objects to be moved by a single point with arrow keys, to allow pin point placement.
