I am happy with this map as is, but am more than willing to make changes to this map should I deem said changes to be necessary, or should said changes improve the overall quality of the map. I look forward to adding another Breaking Benjamin song to the Osu! playlist.

Aaaaaaw.... apparently this beat map is completely unrankable because of concealed sliders. BUT no worries! Now, I have removed ALL concealed notes in ALL DIFFICULTIES, which means that it actually has a slight chance of being ranked! WOO HOO!!!

YAY! Now the map has the correct offset! Woo hoo! Now people won't be consistently 30ms off the beat =).

Coolbeans! Now my difficulties have NAMES! I just updated them so that one would know which difficulty is which. If you have any suggestions for them, I'll consider them, although I may not use your suggestion. Just saying...

Wow, you modders out there are AMAZING! I adjusted the dimensions of the BGI from 640x480 to 1024x768. Additionally, I cut the second kiai time into two, both on the chorus. The bridge no longer has kiai time!

Now I have a set preview point for all my difficulties! Wa hoo!
F e r l e y
Offset: 9700
SPOILER
note that for getting a better offset start maping simple beat all arround the map and try the "Test" option, there is line that put "mistimed hists" and its % ... well I'm experienced playing osu! so I can tell accurately when the mistimed hits mean that the offset could be better, in this case i got "34 and 37 miliseconds late" meaning that the maping is faster than the sound track so maybe 9700 should be better.

Concealed notes: unrankable, and by the way you can't get 100%
SPOILER
Example of it: 00:18:301 there are two options, 1) shorten/move one(or both) of the sliders to fit the rythm. 2) choose which slider is gonna be the main beat and add an innherited point wich to enables muting one of the slider's beginning/end, for this case I suggest that the first slider (4) start at 00:17:593 and end by 00:18:018 and there you go to place the other slider

Suggestion:
SPOILER
most maps arround there map the main beat in withes or reds (lines), so for exalmple the slider at 00:33:301 sould be more like the slider at 00:32:452 and start at the red line, same apply to the slider next to it (00:34:433), you should only use white and red marks to begin notes (for example 00:27:640 is well placed ieven when it its blue one, people can guess it and follow the rythm, not so with notes and slider in the middle of a section)

Sorry for my poor english ><

HEY A MODDER! WOW! :o

Thanks, but you modded my map too soon! I just uploaded another update. I just removed all the concealed notes on the "Hard" difficulty.

Additionally, thank you for telling me my offset is off. Another user told me my offset was off, but neither of us could find the correct one. I'll correct it and then update the beatmap.

Thanks you for the suggestion as well, but I'd much rather time my sliders perfectly with the song instead of making players lives easier :P . It's a good suggestion (if I understand it correctly), but my opinion is that there is no point playing a song if the map isn't the song  .

Thanks a lot (it seems like the Osu! community is pretty nice...),

Zexion
Hey there! I saw you asking for mods in the forum and even thought you didn't ask me I modded your map anyways, hope its useful.

[General]
-You have to set a preview point for your map. You can do that in the Timing tab, make sure to chose the same time for each diff!
-Your Kiai time's are WAY too long. And they doesn't start on the big white ticks (downbeats), thats something necesary. Also, why there's a break in the middle of the second kiai? If it its supposed to be the "epic part" of the song, You can't add a break there! The second Kiai in my opinion should start at 02:32:340 and end at 03:06:302, and that should be enough, keep the first kiai but make sure to start it at big white ticks.
-Your offset is wrong, I am pretty sure of that. Sadly, I am not an expert on timing so I can't give you one :c (protip: t/13795)
-Your background image must be 800x600 or 1024x768. You have to resize it.

I see your map needs a lot of work so I am gonna give some basic tips:

[Easy]
-An easy difficulty can't have 2,50x slider velocity. I suggest 0,80x - 1,20x.
-Circle Size -1 (3)
-Approach Rate -1

You'll have to remap most of the song with the change on SV, but make sure to:
-Place notes ONLY on White ticks. Using red or blue ticks in highly discouraged on easiers difficulties becuase they are hard for newbie players.
(If you have troubles use 1/1 snap divisor)
-Make small combos (no more than 4)
-Do not stack any notes
Remember its an easy Diff, and because of that, everything should be kept easy for newbie players.

[Normal]
-Again, 2,50x is too much for a Normal. Keep it 1,00x - 1,50, and make sure its slightly higher than the easy diff.
-Circle Size -2 (3).
-Approach Rate -1
-Overall Difficulty -1
-Hp Drain -1

Again, you need a remap due to the SV changes. On normal make sure to:
-Use almost all notes on the white ticks, but you can occacionaly use red ticks.
-You can stack notes, but make sure they are really easy to read.

[Hard]
This diff is an insane, no doubt about that. My suggestions are for making it a hard difficulty:
-Once Again, 2,50x is fit for a really hard insane. Try to keep it 1,30x - 1,80x, slightly harder than the normal so you can feel a balance and a scaling difficulty between each of your levels.
-Hp Drain -2
-Circle Size -2 (4)
-Overall Difficulty -1

I liked this hard, but there are several parts with spacing inconsitencies 00:30:359 (6,7,1) or weird rythms 00:38:142 (2,3,4) (that just doesn't sound right, it doesn't follow the music). Well, remember you can use the red ticks without problem on a hard diff but don't overuse the blue ones.

==

I guess that's it. You have a lot of work ahead of you, but don't get discouraged. My first map (which is still not ranked, I am not a pro or anything like that) had a lot of mistakes I have been fixing with time, with effort everything is posibble. I hope you continue with this map, because it has a lot of potential.

Good luck!

OH GEEZ obviously my continuous updating is giving modders all sorts of problems... O.o

Sorry Zexion, I renamed my difficulties "Desolate", "Known", and "Followed" to give a less definate idea of what each difficulty is. Desolate (former easy) really was a normal, and my normal, hard, and the hard difficulty is really an "insane". I'm not sure if that solves the problem though...

The reason I have the second Kiai split is because I wanted fountains on that last note of the second verse :P . I guess I could change that if it's an absolute no-no. I fixed my offset (see volence's post) already

I read somewhere on the beatmap support forums that the correct size for the BGI is 640x480, so that's my dimensions... It's definately not difficult to change the dimensions of my BGI though, since I MADE the image, so I'll do that. Thanks!

Is it a rule, or a guideline to start Kiais on downbeats? My chorus has a pick-up, so I'm starting my kiai on the pick-up because said pick-up note is a half-grace, and thus has greater emphasis. If it's a rule, then I'd have to change it, so just clarifying.

Thank you so much for the modding, but I have no idea which version of the map you modded :? so that makes things a little difficult.
I really appreciate you spending the time :)

... Oh my shit... I modded your map yesterday but it didn't get posted... and the data is lost... OAO UGH. WADAHELL, IT WAS A REALLY LONG MOD TOO!!! *bangs head on wall* I'll mod it some other time if I feel like it == Sorry But I guess I'll just tell you the main problem I encountered yesterday. Your Slider Velocity for Easy is WAYWAYWAYWAY too high and because of that the distance snap is way too high as well. Decrease distance snap and SV and then try making nice patterns with the sliders and circles in your map. Like Symmetry and stuff, cuz all you're doing is placing notes wherever you like. Yea that's all for today so sorry I lost my modding data I'll so a proper mod some day if I have time ==

Hey, if anyone has the "We Are Not Alone" album by Breaking Benjamin, could you tell me if the name of this song is "Follow Me" or "Follow", as written on the CD Playlist?

Thanks :P
