Renard says it's 720BPM, I simply followed the retarded-speedcore-BPM rule.eldnl wrote:

You either go by "what bpm the map says" or "what bpm the map plays like".silmarilen wrote:

I Agree!Purple wrote:

Scarlet Rose and Phase 1 play more like spaced 155/160bpm.. if we go by those examples then why not say The Big Black, which plays like a spaced 180bpm?
The reason I didn't mention Scarlet Rose originally is because it really is possible to read and play the map like spaced 160bpm but this is impossible to do with Phase 1, you have to play [SHD] like 310bpm if you want to get anywhere on it.Purple wrote:

"Plays to" and "plays like" are different. Gameplay wise I have no problem visualizing Phase 1, Scarlet Rose, and The Big Black as spaced 155, 160 and 180 bpm maps respectively, even if Aqo thinks that Phase 1 is a legit 310 bpm map even though it doesn't have any huge 1/4 jump or 1/8 stream. In fact I'd go ahead and give The Big Black a 300+bpm map title, if only because of some awkward patterns in it... but not the other 2.Blue Dragon wrote:
I'm pretty sure Big Black does not play to 180BPM, the song doesn't have a 180BPM beat, lol.
Comparing it to Scarlet Rose is just dumb.
...no you don't?Aqo wrote:

...doing better with alternating means you're playing it like a spaced 160bpm map.winber1 wrote:

I do a lot worse single tapping them then alternating. I haven't tried playing it recently, but I could probably near rank on it, if not rank on it, with alternating with enough time spent playing it.

Personally I alternate on Phase 1 but I alternate on everything, people who can singletap it have a much easier time on it like that. The map is even designed with singletap and with alternating segments that are clearly distinct by the note spacing style.winber1 wrote:
u just said this was impossible to do with Phase 1, and thus it must be 310BPM, when really, it's not...
But the first 2 ranks on that map are alternatersAqo wrote:

Every map that is possible to play with singletap is possible to play with alternating.Purple wrote:

havent read much of the thread, but is Pure singetapping on scarlet rose even possible ô_ô?Aqo wrote:

Some maps however play better with alternating than with singletap, such as Scarlet Rose (at least val's version).
You forget to mention the fact that alternating puts a lot less stress on your arm/hand than single tapping which is why most players tend to alternate things that go into the point where single tapping becomes uncomfortable.Aqo wrote:

You've only played 3 months, you shouldn't expect to be at the physicals limits of the majority of players. Just spend more time training single tapping if you really want to get better at it (though alternating everything is fine also) and you should see some results in no time. Seriously, single tapping speed is probably the easiest thing to improve on...phoenny1337 wrote:
i DONT get how some one can singletap only.. especially on Scarlet Rose with such speed ._. i cant even pass the map with Alternating T.T well i play like 3 months but still that crazy. xD
People talk about singletapping ridiculous BPMs all the damn time in these forums; and its usually random people you've never heard of (i.e. not Niko rrtyui WW or cookiezi). Its like "oh yeah i can single tap 440 BPM.. ez pz"... but only for 2 seconds on OD 5 maps and by uncontrollably vibrating their fap arm.phoenny1337 wrote:

i can hardly tap 130bpm and i can do scarlet rose single tap
but scarlet rose is only 160bpm, and then again there are only 2-3 beats a time that you could easily burstPurple wrote:

I've seen Rucker singletap his way completely through No, 39 (technically vibrating but still, that's one finger plowing through notes)Lily-Kun wrote:

that doesn't sound like vibrating to me (Rucker can singletap 290+)...Brian OA wrote:

Lily-Kun was talking about streaming not single tapping. -.-Brian OA wrote:
