It has come to my attention that some people view high ranked players as having "good genetics". I've seen this come up several times, most recently here and here. Regardless of whether or not this is true and / or the reason these players have high ranks, this is a very asinine and disrespectful way to speak to someone. Building the skillsets required to get those ranks is an in-depth process, not just a matter of genetics. You overshadow all the time and work that goes into improvement when you immediately attribute it to a factor of "luck" outside of anyone's control. Its not only a rude assumption to make, but also a total guess- nobody can make any genuine assessment about someone's genetics based off of an osu! profile.

Whether or not this is done out of ignorance or an attempt for some to protect one's ego, stop.

Given they're the most recent examples I can reference- yes. This is clearly not a personal attack on them as people, but using their posts as an example of behavior I'm referencing.
