Hi, with this application I would like to implement an option in the editor to calculate the "BPM" and "Offset"...

Why?

Is a kinda difficulty calculate the Timing for some people.
I know, not are exactly as humans probably, but will be a help for all the mappers.

There are many programs which calculate the BPM and Offset... why not add a calculator in the editor?

Now it's understandable, I guess... Orz

No se entiende lo que quieres decir, dimelo y lo pongo mejor.

wait what?
are you asking for osu! to have something like a BPM calculator in the editor?

I think he is.

and I have to say that they're usually never better than humans at timing.

Yep, that is what I mean.

Maybe, but at least, you can calculate the bpm and offset approximate.

i think there might be a request for this already ;w;

closest request I could find t/10004/
but it's in completed requests

It's quite unuseful, not suporting.
pixeldesu
Like I tested it before already, bpm calculators are not better than humans which can hear/feel the rhythm and beats of a song. Not supporting, because it wouldn't help anyway.

t/121202 use this. Finding the BPM and offset is not hard and you don't need a computer program to do it for you.
TheVileOne
It's not that it is too hard. I would want this because it takes less time than doing it manually. It's not a good enough reason to consider an integration though.
Stefan
No.

Just no.

Such negativity in this thread. You know this would be useful to have a suggested BPM/ Offset feature. osu! would need a way to measure decibel levels though. osu! is not equipped to analyze the audio. If it were, then it could open up a lot of potential, but peppy has stated that osu! will never be an audio editing/mixer program. It would be lost potential.
lolcubes
Not a single application will read bpm/offset correctly, especially when your universal offset may be bad as well. It might sometimes, but not always. Something that doesn't produce correct results should not be a part of the editor.

My vote is no.

I was too tired to explain why. Well, same what lolcubes said. This would cause many wrong Offsets and/or BPMs which are for like 0.5 ~ 0.1 wrong timed. And we know how much can do this. Also, we got already Tutorials how to find out the Offsets and honestly nobody will bite you if you ask for the BPM.

I am fully down for this idea, this would help me out so much with the timings and offset honestly.
