I have long wanted to start playing 9k mania, but I don't even know where to start. I didn't really like 4k and 7k since they don't use pinky fingers. Can you give any tips or maps for a beginner. From the sensations I can say that I am confused in the fingers, which are closer to the center of the screen. Srry if google translate made the text incomprehensible.

what i'd do is to play one 9k map over and over until i nomiss it. this is usually discouraged by the mania community which will tell you you're just building muscle memory for one map, which is true on higher level maps, but as an absolute beginner it's a good strat becuase it makes it's an easy way of training your fingers to be able to actually hit the notes. it might feel like you're not improving your scores at all at first, but just keep playing and soon you'll improve your skill for the map quickly. when you get a full combo, move on to other 9k maps and keep improving your skills on them.

as for maps, there's very few ranked 9k maps (about 60 as of writing) so to increase the size of your mappool you'd need to mostly download unranked maps.

i have a handful i can share with you, so dm me and ill send some of them to you once i get home.

Is it? You are already using one pink and both thumbs. If anything I feel like the odd key count in 9k is causes a slight disbalance toward one side of my hand at times.

for 9k,i use zxcv space m,./, while having both thumbs on the spacebar, hwoever for 10 k,you would have to change it to something more complicated like asdfv,op[],and since i use arrows and cant make my own skin i have to use split screen to

Just know that it might take a while to get used to playing.

Here's some maps to get started with (really wish there were more):

beatmapsets/597113#mania/1571217

If you want, you can also use random on those.

This is a good way. You could also keep playing until you feel comfortable with the keybinds.

Have fun with 9k!
