This time, we’re doing things a little differently.

  1. This tournament is a 1v1, UK based tournament
  2. The structure of the tournament is as follows:
    1. Qualifiers
    2. Swiss Bracket
  3. To be able to participate, players must have a UK or Irish flag or be able to provide proof of residency to the hosts.
  4. Matches will be Team VS and Score V2
  5. Ranks are used to calculate seeding. Once the tournament starts, your rank is locked and will not affect your seed.
  6. All staff (With the exception of the Hosts, Mappool Selectors and Referees) are allowed to participate in the tournament.
  7. All players are to treat staff and other participants with a high level of respect. Any kind of mistreatment on the discord server or during matches (this includes homophobia, racism and toxicity) will result in a BAN and will be BLACKLISTED from participating in future UKCC tournaments.
  8. Where rules do not prevail, common sense shall. The administration has explicit discretion to apply their judgement on this as they see fit.
  9. Players are REQUIRED to join the public discord so that they are contactable by other players and staff. If a player can’t be contacted or is not responding to messages, through discord, ingame messages or forum pms, contact the staff.
  10. Mappools are to be released the Monday before a stage is due to happen

Reschedules

  1. Schedules for the next round are released on the Monday before a stage is due to happen and ALL matches will be scheduled for the weekend. You can reschedule for weekdays at the staff’s discretion.
  2. In order to reschedule, you must contact your opponents, agree on a time and be able to provide PROOF (by form of a screenshot/image) of the agreed reschedule to the Hosts.
  3. In effort to ensure as many matches take place as possible, reschedules are allowed up to 2 HOURS BEFORE YOUR MATCH IS DUE TO BE PLAYED. However, your opponent holds the right to refuse a reschedule if asked less than 12 hours from the scheduled time
  4. If it is impossible to find a suitable time to reschedule to, players should talk to the Hosts (Bubbleman or Yazzehh) and they will attempt to sort something out.

  1. Referees will create the lobby approximately 10 minutes before the match is due to start.
  2. Players have a 10 minute grace period after their scheduled match time to join the lobby. If a player(s) fails to join the lobby within this time, then the default win will go to the other player and a harsh penalty will be applied to the absent player. If both players do not show up, both players will receive losses and penalties.
  3. We take no-shows seriously. If you fail to show up to your matches without valid reason, you may forfeit your right to enter future UKCC tournaments.
  4. The referee cannot play during the match.

    Qualifiers:

  5. Players will play 9 maps (3 Nomod, 2 Hidden, 2 Hard Rock, 2 DoubleTime) ONCE.
  6. The top 32 scores from qualifiers will make it through to the swiss bracket.

    Swiss:

  7. Since Swiss bracketing is a natural seeding system, matchups will be drawn between top 16 and bottom 16 players randomly to begin.
  8. Two matches will happen every weekend for each player, one on Saturday and one on Sunday - therefore, two matchups will be drawn per weekend for each player.
  9. The order the matches are played in does not matter.
  10. Matchups will be drawn between players with the same aggregate match W-L-D score (eg. players at 3-0-1 will prioritise playing against the players with the most similar W-L-D), and will prioritise avoiding rematches until each active player has played each other once.

    Rolling:

  11. When both players are in the lobby and ready, the referee will ask the players to !roll, with the highest roller banning and picking first (as there is no advantage to be gained from either choice).

    Banning:

  12. Players will have one ban.
  13. Players have 2 minutes to ban a map. Failure to ban a map within this time limit results in a lost ban.
  14. There are no restrictions on bans and picks. Players are free to ban/pick any map regardless of mod.

    Warmups:

  15. There will be no warmups played.

    Picking:

  16. Players have 90 seconds to pick a map. Failure to pick a map within this time limit results in the pick being forfeit and transferred to the other player.
  17. Failed scores WILL count, and every map will be played with the NF modification enabled.
  18. Each player picks four times. Once 8 maps are picked and played, the match ends.
  19. There are no tiebreakers.
And now for the fun bit:

  • Health System:

  1. Each player who qualifies into Swiss will begin with 8,000,000 HP, which carries through matches.
  2. During a match, the losing player of each map pick will lose HP equal to the score difference between the two players.
  3. If a player’s HP reaches 0, they are immediately eliminated from the tournament, and if their match is still in progress it ends immediately.

    Pocket Picks:

  4. When signing up to the tournament, each player will submit three maps to be listed as “Pocket Picks” for use during Swiss.
  5. Pocket Picks can be any map, with any mods. The mods chosen are forced.
  6. While there is room to push boundaries, the rule of common sense applies when submitting Pocket Picks - the maps will be reviewed case by case, and if a map is too far out of the playable range it will be rejected and a new Pocket Pick will have to be submitted.
  7. Only up to one Pocket Pick can be played per match, and only as a player’s 3rd or 4th pick during the match.
  8. Once a Pocket Pick has been played, it cannot be picked again for the rest of the tournament.
  9. Pocket Picks cannot be banned.

    Byes:

  10. Due to the nature of the elimination system, byes are unavoidable.
  11. If you receive a bye, once the matches for each round are completed you will receive a “tax” of 90% of the average HP lost by the players at your general aggregate match score (+/- 1).
  12. Byes will prioritise players in the middle of the pack so as to avoid unfair eliminations or advantages.
