i believe it was Guitar Hero III on my cousins ps2. we were a cheapskate and so we play on the ps2 stick.

I first got into rhythm games back in 2015 after I watched the TeRa "Made of Fire" video for the first time. I started playing StepMania after that and then that introduced me to osu! Then I learned about Bemani games and now I can't stop.

Piano Tiles 2 for me. I remember playing it almost everyday...
Probably Piano Tiles or Just Dance, or even that ddr minigame on Club Penguin, but I didn't think much of them when I played them. The first game I played that I saw as a rhythm game was Love Live! School Idol Festival. I downloaded it as a joke, but ended up unironically getting really into it.
It was cytus 2 for me. I only had the 4 free packs on there so once I ran out of songs to play, I went out and played new rhythm games like arcaea and taiko until I landed here in osu!

My first rythm game was Patapon on the PSP, I loved the three games and still remember them from time to time. It's a very niche saga though, I have never met anyone who has played it or even knows about it at all.

I think the first one ever that I remember was Deemo. It was one someone else's phone.
Eventually like a few years later I saw Deemo in the Google Play Store, and I decided to play it again for myself. Ended up completing all of the story chapters in under a week. Absolutely loved the game.
It still is one of my favourite games today, and one I hold dear to my heart.

around the same time my dad bought this cheap plug and play dance pad but i only ended up using it a few times
first rhythm game i really got into though was the Project Diva series on the PSP. Guess it's stuck with me ever since bc I play Project Diva Mega Mix+ now too loleven though i still suck at multiple button inputs and hold notes lmao
come to think of it though, I don't think i've ever completed any of the games bc i always got distracted by either project diva or tekken lol maybe it's finally time for a proper playthrough
