Maybe 2020 was the year in where your life might have changed the most, having to stay at home, some lost their jobs, some kept studying and working online; during these uncertain times™: have you been able to accomplish any of your goals you had proposed at the start of the year? Overall, how has this year been for you, whether it's osu! related or not?

Something that I have noticed this year too, is the good ammount of people that joined or became more active during the quarantine; to those people, I'd like to ask you: How have you found this game and this community so far? Will you keep playing after uncertain times™ end?

And finally: What are your expectations for 2021, whether it's osu! related or not? Do you feel optimistic towards the next year?

i got my 200 pp play but now it feels not enough. Overall, This year sucks, the school was closed because covid, and replaced with online learning, which is arguably bad for a vocational high school.

I found this game from a youtube video about a guy playing sakuzyo - altale in a school talent show, but ended up playing std, and i will keep playing it until... idk...

1. My year progression is pretty normal I guess, considering my country has been going back into the normal state earlier than the rest of the world. But I think my best achievement is to map the song I craved to map it for 3 years and get the recognition from it.

2. As stated before somewhere, I knew the game when I was trying to find a furloid cover of the song I like (mainly because it has a Vietnamese rap as part of the song lul) and then the gameplay showed up out of nowhere.

3. I have no idea if the pendemic is going to end or not, because unlike plague Ebola or Zika which barely has statistic of deaths, Covid just kicked our ass by tons of death in just the first month, but I'd like to looking forward to it soon.

I started typing this at 31 December 2020 as in 00:27 GMT+8.

I have to say, 2020 gives me the ups and downs. I, JustABeginner, would like to thank myself and everyone for existing, be able to be together in 2020 and also keep in touch with one another because of this sudden pandemic. <3

Let's talk about osu! I just don't feel comfortable talking about my personal life. Please forgive me.

In the end of May, I started to feel unmotivated playing osu!. So, I found a subforum called Forum Games...
"Yeah, I'll just necropost a thread and..."
That's how I first joined in Off-Topic, meeting new people with different personalities despite I'm being shy, honestly. I'm really thanked to all of the people I've met, people who feel loved, sad, mad, anything. If I really just stop osu! and don't bother to check the osu!forum, I really won't see all of you, thinking we're just strangers. To everyone I meet in Off-Topic, I really enjoyed your company, spending time as if you're one of my online friends that I be happy to meet. If anything I do wrong to you, I'm truly sorry. Once again, thank you all. <3
Next year, once I'm done with my school, I'll promise to be back and spending time here, especially the Off-Topic. B-)

I think this is it that I can share about. I hope you guys have an interesting story to tell too! I also look forward to read them.

my goal of this year was already vanished thanks to the virus, this was not a good year for me and people around me, we suffered from both the virus and big storm constantly. Game-wise, my skill is going downhill, but i was able to meet new friend, thanks to this community, so not a bad year for osu! i guess

Well, YouTube recommendation bring me here (I was really into anime back then, so one day the recommendation give me a video of a person play an anime op, and i was hooked). I'm going to play this game for the unforeseeable future, it's still a cool game nonetheless

What are your expectations for 2021, whether it's osu! related or not? Do you feel optimistic towards the next year?
University Entrance pass gogo. My only goal. I'm optimistic about that

i don't remember actually setting any goals for 2020 but i did well enough regardless

this year felt better to me than if the epidemic never happened as i got to stay home and have to put less effort into waking up for school

waking up at 7:10am just to get to school was pretty awful for me when there wasn't a quarantine

when i found this game by seeing my older brother play it, i got very excited to play where i wanted to play as soon as i got home for school
as more time passed, my excitement wore down just like pretty much everything else i got very excited for
the community is pretty good but the player side of things has gotten more toxic over time
the mapper side of things was never as toxic as the player side but there was still plenty of drama with the community
i will most likely keep playing but because my excitement has worn down a lot over time, i may not play that much

i hope 2021 will be better than 2020 but who knows what's going to happen

1. My goal is to achieve top 100 (osu mania) in my country which I fail already :'). I know it's been a hard year with covid, so let's see the positive side. Overall this year is pretty interesting in terms of how the world handles the pandemic when there is social interaction restriction and the technology evolve with it like online class and many more.

2. Have been playing since 2014 and I know osu! from my friend when joining anime-ish club xD. He plays Kiseijuu OP on osu!mania and that's when I start to play osu!. I can see myself in 2-3 years still playing this game.

3. Looking forward to osu!lazer. And for covid stuff, i don't thinks this case will be gone soon with the "new variant" news lately...

Hope the best in the future :)
