Once again, we are looking for members to join the osu!stream team. Maps need to be of very high quality, and thus we need experienced mappers!

Requirements:
  1. At least one ranked mapset. We need to see that you can finish a set of difficulties and that they are of appropriate quality.
  2. Free time and dedication. osu!stream mapping requires commitment, and mapsets need to be finished in a timely manner (~2 weeks max).
  3. Only perfect mapsets will be released for the app, but other team members are always around to help mod your map to perfection!
  4. There are only certain types of music that you can choose to map (due to licensing/rights), but we still have quite a large collection that is ever-growing!
Rewards:
  1. Monetary reimbursement (for released mapsets only).
  2. Warm and fuzzy feelings that you were able to contribute to this fun game!
Other Information:
  1. You do not need an iOS device (iPhone/iPad/etc), but it helps for testing purposes! You can always just use (clean) hands on your PC monitor, or have another team member test your map for you, though!
  2. Tutorials are available for every aspect of osu!stream mapping!
If you are interested in joining, then fill out the application below and post it in this thread. If you are not interesting in applying, then please refrain from posting unless you have a question or comment related to this process! Be aware that not everyone that applies will be accepted.

Application:
Username: [on the osu! forums, not your osu!stream/twitter name]
Best Mapset(s): [insert link(s) here]
Average: [amount of time (in days/weeks) to finish a full mapset]

To those who are accepted: Idle in IRC as much as possible. It's more encouraging when people are around to talk about mapping. Also, people can ask you for help and you can do the same. Not to mention, it lets us poke you about progress and sorting out who's doing what.

Give it a go if you know that you have enough time. People hedging their bets and having a go on a whim is exactly why we've seen dropped maps and zero progress for months at a time.

Having said that, if anybody contributes to an important pack and drops the ball, then somebody (probably me) will pick up the slack anyway. The way that I see it, there isn't a huge amount of pressure for one person to finish something, but having more people to share the load would push things forward much more effectively.

Also of note: People who are strictly "flow mappers" will probably have to adapt their style and get used to using more symmetry, or at least more balanced patterns. Remember that the maps need to make good use of both hands. Patterns will also need to be pretty, because of polish and, believe it or not, some customers actually whine if a map isn't pretty enough.

It may be that some people would have to rethink their style entirely, because slapping together a load of formless patterns in a vaguely balanced fashion will not result in a good map. That's just how it is.

More applications for everything!

Anyway, yeah. I think this is a good way to boost up the progress for o!s mapping.

Hi. Seems like I'm the first one :D

Application:

Best Mapset(s): 1 2 3 4
Average: I could finish two diffs in 3 days http://osu.ppy.sh/s/71682 but it depends on how much I like the song or how complicated is the rhythm. Let's say that the average is 2 weeks to complete a map.

I'll apply, even though I have access to the subforum! :D

Best Mapset(s): http://osu.ppy.sh/s/68997 Not ranked (yet), but I feel it's one of my greatest mapping achievements in terms of design and flow with the use of uncommon rhythm. http://osu.ppy.sh/s/61687 overall good flow and again use of uncommon patterns (Dem 1/6 stacks and dem squares.) In a nutshell I like to explore things people don't usually do and make them work.~
Average: Depends. If I'm super motivated I can push out a 4-diff set in 2-3 days.

I can also create my own music and map it. But that requires SUPER MOTIVATION.
And oddly I make a lot DnB tracks so they would fit right into the osu!stream universe.

Average: Anywhere from a day to a week, depending on life/school situations.

I love osu!stream and I've always wanted to map for it. I was never one for a full on ENHI set, but with o!s, I'm sure that I could pull it off. :o

I'm interested in this but I can't really say I could finish mapsets in time since now my mapping speed is so slow

(can I participate in if I think I have enough time and finished all maps "disturbing" me?
Bass
Application:

Best mapset(s): https://osu.ppy.sh/s/30665 and https://osu.ppy.sh/s/22044
Average: depends of: If I like song and like it "asks" for map or I have mood, sudden inspiration to map something then it takes max from week - 2 weeks.

Sorta unsure whether I should apply here as my cleanest/best stuff is not ranked/submitted and it kinda depends on the song how much motivation I get... mhhh...
Nessuka
Most of the songs I like and can cleanly map to will not be usable due to copyright laws :/
