Adjust song MP3 volume in-game [added]

It's always a pain when I bring a song MP3 into osu! only to find that it's too loud or too quiet, and have to change and remake the file in Audacity or something similar. Would there be any possibility of something simple like a slider in the beatmap audio tab to change the song's volume in the actual game without messing with the file manually?

It's best to actually fix the audio file, in my opinion. Adjusting in-game (especially in the upwards direction) can hvae quite adverse side effects.

how about let us change hitsound volume?

I've got a thousand ways to change the volume of my speakers, but it affects both osu's audio and hitsounds, making it kinda pointless.

I have added the ability to adjust effect volume by holding alt.
