In this thread, people give out circumstances of songs we want, and you provide people music with those requirements.

Do not, I repeat do not post in Youtube links, as school and countries bans Youtube.

E.g.:

(2nd post):
I want Dubstep without noises as "screamers". Or music with dubstep elements(like 2-step drums, assorted noise)

(3rd post):

I got you Eden by ATOLS(Dubstep w/ piano screamers and excellent melody), Insomnia by MrFijiWiji(moderate melody w/ great drum beat screamers), and Airwalk by Stan SB(DnB w/ 2-step drums, excellent melody).
Birdy
Should the "3rd poster" also add to his/her post what he/she wants? It's quite what I thought of, but can't be sure since it isn't listed.

You can ask and provide music in the same post. So the 3rd poster can both ask and answer.

Btw, I'd really some nice dubstep with a good melody and not techno screams as "screamers"

Here we go with my favourites of that genre, then:
Above & Beyond feat. Zoë Johnston - You Got To Go (Owsey Remix)
Dead Robot feat. Charlotte Haining - Frost
Freemasons feat. Amanda Wilson - I Feel Like (Affecting Noise Remix)
Any song by Synthetic Epiphany
I hope you like them!

I would like calm music with female vocals. I really like that kind of stuff, but I barely know any good female vocalists.

Raise Your Weapon by Deadmau5
A Thousand Years by Christina Perri
Ellie Goulding is a quite nice female vocalist.
Birdy
Raise Your Weapon has lately become one of my most listened songs (even though I'm not fan of the Dubstep section), thanks!

Also another suggestion for chillstep part: Mimi Page - Always & Forever (Yinyues Remix)

People, post more, I can give you good non-weeaboobullshit music if you just ask.
Mogsy
Since the last suggestion was calmer music with female vocals, I guess I'll expand on that. I'm going more for calmer in sound, contemplative in lyricism here.

Jorane - Stay
Tori Amos - Winter
Bat For Lashes - Laura

Looking for some folk rock that doesn't sound exactly like Mumford and Sons. Broad one here, but eh.

Hmm, I'll give this one a try maybe. Probably what I'm putting is more folk than folk-rock but I'll have a go anyway.

The Avett Brothers - Live and Die
More mellow sounding, but I really like these guys.

Bela Fleck and the Flecktones - Big Country
Instrumental, but the instrumentalists are some of the best you're going to find in any genre of music.

The Faces - Ooh La La
Not really folk rock, but whatever. This song is great.

Also, according to the OP you should remove the links to Youtube.

Feist - The Park
Most people only know 1,2,3,4 and Mushaboom maybe, but this is my favorite Feist song. And all of her other stuff. That is my favorite.

Regina Spektor - Eet
PIANO, also Regina is the best.

Ingrid Michaelson - You and I
Nice gentle love song, I also love her.

Sara Bareilles - Sittin' on the Dock of the Bay
It's a cover song, but I'd like to get away from her big hits (which are amazing also) and focus a little less known.

I could keep going on and on for this one.
Birdy
Moway, please continue. You had really good suggestions, but I knew 75% of those already, Feist being the only new name.

Okay I'll see what I can do.

Deep Sea Diver - Wearing Thin
I personally love Jessica Dobson's voice, and I like this song a lot.

Stars - Fixed
Okay, so this song is more rock-ish, but I had to include it since I really enjoy the live acoustic versions of this song as well. If you want the calm version of this song look up the acoustic version, but the original song is great in its own right.

The xx - VCR
There's a dude also singing in this song. This song is still cool.

Broken Social Scene - Swimmers
Nice chill track from one of my favorite albums ever.

Metric - Gimme Sympathy
While on the topic of Broken Social Scene might as well hit Metric as well. Another more drum heavy song, but if you want calmer versions the acoustic versions are excellent as well.

Corinne Bailey Rae - Put Your Records On
She's relatively famous now, but I'll include this anyway just because it's a great feel-good song.

Zee Avi - Bitter Heart
Since this is osu! we need some Asians, so here's Zee Avi, who is great.

A Fine Frenzy - Almost Lover
LET'S ALL CRY TOGETHER NOW ;_;

Norah Jones - Don't Know Why
Old song, good song.

Sorry if you know some of these already, just naming stuff I could recall off the top of my head, so here it is. If you want more I can come up with more later.

And just to fuel this thread a little more, I'd like some stuff like Michael Buble and Harry Connick Jr., I really enjoy nice pleasant jazzy songs.
Birdy
This time The xx is possibly the only one I've heard of them, so tons of thanks~ Will start checking out them soon!

(will check Buble and Connick Jr. and update this post with my favourite songs from their subgenres/styles)

E: uh huh, I'm not familiar with this kind of stuff, so I guess I'll skip, sorry

Folk, folk rock, I ain't picky either way. Loved all of these suggestions, though!
Moway
Here's another one then. Drum and bass music with piano/strings/etc.
Birdy
Unknown Error - Midnight Special, one of my alltime favourites.
Smote - End of Time, or honestly any track by Smote. "Something" is my favourite by him, but End of Time fits in theme better.
Feint - Horizons ft. Veela (Moleman Remix), beautiful piano melodies also with an amazing vocalist.
Static Noise Bird - Sun Passerine, not perfectly fitting in theme, but hey, at least it has violin. And I can't resist to shamelessly self-promote myself when I got a chance.
B-Complex - Three Dots, by far the both craziest and most beautiful song by him.
Doxx & Feint - The Pink Fields, how can I stop putting Feint on this list? The answer is, I can't.
The xx - Night Time (Synkro Remix), future garage-y instead of DnB, but still you might like it.

I thought this one could be easy for me, but I just realized that no matter how chill and calm a track might be, it very seldom has piano/strings/etc. if we are talking about DnB.
dNextGen
not good at explaining thangs so maybe you should just try these shit out

Broken Note - Channel Zero, probably the calmest track by the artist, very melodic at the begininng and at the end of the track (a bit repetitive though)
Squarepusher - Hello Meow (dunno if this counts,it sounds like the dnb in the mid 90's though)
Noisia - Machine Gun (Amon Tobin Remix) this one is a bit weird and crispy
B-Complex - Winter, very atmospheric dnb with chilling piano and it gives you such an awesome winter vibe D:

I need a heavy dose of Voca-step and Voca-Dn'B up my ass. Or give me good Dn'B if you want.
mathexpert
Hi, I'm looking for a song without vocals that encapsulates/describes the mood of this quote from The Case of Charles Dexter Ward by H.P. Lovecraft for a school project. Could anybody help me, I have a couple of ideas but I feel like my musical scope is limited ><

“The odours occasionally wafted from the laboratory were likewise exceedingly strange. Sometimes they were very noxious, but more often they were aromatic, with a haunting, elusive quality which seemed to have the power of inducing fantastic images. People who smelled them had a tendency to glimpse momentary mirages of enormous vistas, with strange hills or endless avenues of sphinxes and hippogriffs stretching off into infinite distance.” (Lovecraft 86)
