Im starting to get lost on what pp scores I should be roughly aiming for at what rank because at one point I was rank 150k ish and I thought I was falling behind in skill because I didn’t have a 200pp play
Thanks man 200pp was a hard task considering all the chokes and close callsVideos wrote:
Hey there!
I personally believe that whatever rank bracket you may be in, there's will still be room for improvement/goals to be set. I've seen plenty of players that are in 100k without having their first 200PP play yet, so you are not falling behind.
If someone were to fall behind, I'm sure they'll rise up when practice and dedication comes into play.
I took a peak on your profile and saw that you got your first 200PP play, congratulations on that my guy!
Yes, but it doesn't make up the whole story. Someone with a 240pp play as their top play could be rank 180,000 while someone with a 180pp play as their top play could be rank 100,000. It depends on how consistent they have their top plays at. If the 180pp person consistently has their top plays consist of 150-180, then it'll beat the person with like a singular 240 and a singular 180, singular 170, singular 150, etc...karlabos wrote:
Since rank is based on pp and pp is based on top play, isn't that like... Something that adjusts itself on its own?
It's legitimately difficult to get a good play on thatAlphaCent4260 wrote:

Good news for me: There are a fair amount of 4* 200pp+ NM scoresFrostyF wrote:
Not so fun fact.
As of July 9th, 2024, rank 99,999 (5 digit) requires 4773pp. If all 100 of your top plays were the same then pp play required to get to 5 digit would be 240.07.
It is officially impossible to become a 5 digit in osu!std without setting a score greater than or equal to 240pp.
