why slider has to be released early.... weird dude.

*osu!m veterans will mad in 3. 2. 1.*

1) The key has to be released when the top of the slider body (or the bottom of the LN head) touches the judgment line, and that point is below the top of the LN head. A common pattern is placing a LN release at the same time as the time a regular note has to be pressed, in that case both the release and the press have to happen at the same time (when the bottom of the regular note and the bottom of the LN head touch the judgment line).

2) The finger movement of releasing a key is slower than the finger movement of pressing a key, if you don't have the muscle memory to compensate for that difference automatically, you might notice that you start releasing a key before you start pressing a key in the previously mentioned pattern.

o!m depends more on your timing and how accurately your timing is. you can release a little late, but not too late to get a good judgement still

standard and mania are two completely different games with completely different mechanics. if you don't like mania's mechanics than don't play it

std players are used to extremely lenient releases. In mania you actually have to time them

iirc you can even still hold after a slider ends for a long time and still get a 300.
