Haven't experienced this problem myself... for what it's worth, I had that same map before the update and can play it post-update just fine without redownloading it.
For me, though, the background pic is viewable from the song select, while in that video, it doesn't seem to be there. Maybe you had it and it got updated with a bg image and you didn't get the new image? I don't know, just throwing that out there.

I believe it only happens on maps with SBs, and only if you have deleted the BG or SB (not sure if this applies to all cases, so far I've only seen it on maps with SBs).
Deleting the BG and keeping the SB on this map will replicate the behaviour from Charleyzard's video, to give an example.
The map was already ranked when I got it, and there have been no BG changes whatsoever I believe, so I doubt it has anything to do with a BG update as Soaprman suggested.

yeah it's definitely the SBs. you'll probably need to redownload them now.
Changed the topic title to better reflect the issue within. I can't confirm yet though, busy atm.

Was able to confirm by deleting the BGs in Rei_Fan49's second linked map, then trying to play it.
Not intended behaviour, but let's say it is and mark as invalid?

Yeah, redownloading seems fine. This is just from when I deleted backgrounds before funspoilers. If you're intending to make score submission not work with missing elements then it should probably stay this way anyway.peppy wrote:

EDIT: I submitted bug report in case it was something else that was causing it - not what it was been found out to be.
As I've already said, I won't be fixing this for now. Please re-download the maps.
can you fix this so it's only for the online users? so players like me who are quitting and will play offline because we like the game, don't get compromised by yourpeppy wrote:

Changing the folder name for the song should fix your issue or the difficulty name.
