If you have the game paused, the visual chat is the same old code that was annoying in spectator. So it will open whenever you do things like click links in chat while paused. IMO you should use the same visual settings code for everything. This could be done with a hide Visual settings option somewhere, like you hide other notifications, but I know that is intentional. What I don't think people will appreciate is that it will open while doing chat operations.
It just shouldn't open while the chat is open. It bothers me and I'm sure it will bother other people.
