- not many ranked 9k maps exist. there's barely 60 9k maps, none of which are over 6*. this is basically the biggest reason.
- due to the use of the pinky, 9k is far harder then 7k (which isnt a real problem because most 9k maps aren't that hard)
Additionally, 7k was the most popular mode in the very beginning of mania, because of o2jam.
it does give more pp, but as i said, there's not nearly as much 9k maps as 7kKruste_Duste wrote:

#1 is bad arguement because rank is not a valid reason to avoid a skill area. You shouldnt care about ranked. You'd still be so much more ET if you could 9kPositoniX wrote:

op asked why do people use 7k over 9k for pp farming, and the fact that there are thousands of ranked 7k maps compared to not even 60 ranked 9k maps (most of which are under 6*) is a valid reason why people dont actively use 9k maps to farm pp. i never said that rank is a valid reason to avoid a skill area, but i was just explaining why nobody farms pp on 9k.abraker wrote:
