A question about the scores

So I started playing a few days ago and today I managed to get my first SS song. I hit 300 on every note(53 notes in total) and my score was around 88k. Then I checked the scoreboard and the leader has over 120k but he also hit 300 on each note. I noticed mods increase score too but he didn't use any. So what am I missing that lowers my score?

This is probably due to their spinning. You can try watching their replay (click their score on the in-game score chart) and see exactly where they get the score, too.

ok I watched the replay now, he didn't spin that high and at the end of the replay his score was around 86k but on the final score screen it showed 120k, could it be a bug maybe?
