Occasionally, in the middle of a song, the metronome will speed up for the last note of a stanza and will continually stay off-beat until I restart the program.

Are you sure this isn't the song going out of time? *)
I can't begin to think of how the metronome would lose sync altogether, but if you think it definitely is, can you tell me why you think so and anything else which may be related?

I looked at the lines, and the clicks don't even match up with the gray whole notes. It's been happening lately when I've been listening through the song, it's not that it doesn't go with the song, the metronome's beats are just inconsistent.

Oh, I don't want to make a new topic just for this, but when you play a song on hidden, and then go straight to the editor, it puts the editor in hidden mode.
