Is it possible to change the mania bar (invisible notes, moving bar around, etc) w/ storyboards?

I dont do much storyboarding, and im very new to making storyboards via scripting, but i got an idea for a guitar hero modchart-esque beatmap and was wondering if it's possible to pull off the effects commonly found in those onto a mania map. I swear i've seen people do things such as removing the scroll bar altogether and having custom imput methods (not just replaced skins), but i cant find the map i was thinking of for the life of me.

Generally when it comes to storyboarding, anything is possible.
In order to replace the usual gameplay experience it is required to have the player use the beatmap skin that will typically make the entire normal playfield invisible. Once the normal playfield is out of the way, you can design the gameplay through the storyboard, inputs and map (= when to hit which key) will still stay the same though.

I did something like that for a Taiko map once (find it here) but it should be pretty much the same for mania.
