I'm calling the community of osu!mania to explain me why.

So on a map i did 2 scores almost similar but i'm a little bit confused.

As you can see the second image has a higher score than the first one but on the first i got a slightly better accuracy and i have more rainbow 300 hit (949 against 888) and a little bit less 200 hit (37 against 40)

So i did a little bit of research to try to understand how the osu!mania score works and i saw this.

There's also the formula but i didn't tried to understand it.

After i saw this my hypothesis is that somehow at a certain moment i got 200 on certains note that made my multiplier decreases and somehow my multiplier (of the score from the first image) was lower than the other and this made the gap of 865 points. So that would mean that hitting a 200 at a random moment would not have the same impact according to where i am on the map but i don't think that this is the case

I'm still confused, but if anyone can explain me clearly why that would totally change my vision on how the score works in this game.

Thanks for reading me.

PS : I'm not english so i'm sorry if you didn't understand this post or some part :)

This is not an ideal situation but an exaggerated example:

The bonus penalty for 200s is not 0.5, but 0.08; and the bonus increase for 300s is 0.01, not 0.5. Also, the bonus score is proportional to the square root of the bonus value, not directly proportional.

As a consequence, in the case of 200s, actually the "Spread Out" case gives more score than the "Grouped Together" case.

300 and misses usually contribute to the overall score more compared to accuracy. This is especially noticeable in easy maps

it's an exaggeration Full Tablet, usually there will be a longer chain of 200s, but my post width would stretch too far
