Despite the fact that the characters are expressing themselves in such an annoying way (clearly overacting imo, I mean, look at the faces... does anybody reacts like that while talking to someone ? lmao), that's for sure a great anime with nice plot twists, awesome animation etc.
I'd rate it 9/10.

It's up there with Death note, one of the few animes that made me think while watching.
I still haven't finished it cause I get bored of it or don't make time for it
Season 2 has so many plot holes that it's amusing to try and spot all of them. I guess it's a good entry level anime for people who like forced drama.

Easily accessible melodrama, but it goes for the mecha genre in a way that a mech show should go: not being about just the cool robots, but creating a cool story with a universe that has this sort of technology.
Characters are rather hit-or-miss, and the second season has quite a few plot holes. It's still an enjoyable watch and good for people who are ready to branch off from the very basics of anime.

Code Geass is one of the most amazing meccha anime I've ever seen. Their story is flawless and Lelouch's existence totally brought a lot of mess in the war. It's a shame that he died but the story would be best like that. c:
