Kiai exceptions

What's up guys, beginner mapper here


So from what I understand kiai is usually used in the main chorus part of a song for emphasis, but what if the chorus which is usually the impactful part of a song is actually less impactful than the verse before it. I'll leave some examples below of songs that I feel kiai can be put in the verse or pre chorus but my question is would the kiai always be in the chorus even if the verse is more impactful / Can kiai be put in other places of the song too?

You can use kiai whenever you want as long as it makes sense. If the verse or pre-chorus is very intense you can definitely use it there.

there are some maps which deviate, and don't use kiai at all (example: beatmapsets/302063). it's definitely valid. it depends on how you want to express the map. if you want, you can take kiai into consideration as you map along. it's not strict.
