This feature request is about altering the score counter at the top right of the osu playfield to update less frequently, nominally for performance and video streaming/recording.

With the use of high refresh rate monitors, and the fact that we don't really care about the last two, three, or four digits of the score counter during play. Hence, I propose a menu option to round the counter to limit the excessive changing of the digits.

The last two to three digits are almost always in flux and can represent a waste of resources to render, and my specific issue with this is that I record 144 fps screen capture and note that there is absolutely no rate limiter to the counter (In that the counter is updated on every displayed frame). This represents a waste of video bandwidth for me to encode those changes on screen.

This may be a trivial request.

I wonder how much more bandwidth it consumes considering there is considerable amount of change going on in the playfield to begin with.

Very little waste in resources are present here. its just using another image from a set of resources already loaded into memory. and theyre just the representation of a very simple score counter. Aesthetically I can appreciate this request, but in terms of game performance its almost completely irrelevant.

And in terms of bandwidth, it depends on the skin being used, though as abraker mentioned, the bandwidth will be reasonably high either way
