Here’s a summary of tasks and concclusions from the 6th NAT meeting on 2020-03-01, Cultivating BNs. This includes the topics ‘State of Subdivisions’, ‘Mentoring New BNs’ and ‘Lack of modding’. You can find future and past meeting topics here

Mentoring New BNs
* Release results of Seto’s research when available

Lack of modding
* Proposal for adding Kudosu costs to nominations (Seto, Radar, Fieryrage)
* Evaluate Radar’s (pending) QAH reform proposal

Non-task Conclusions
  1. Subdivions are fun but don't feel purposeful, participants were split on whether to remove or keep them
    1. Ideas like running subdivision-bound activties like games, events, etc could be further explored
  2. BNs should be mentored before probation, not during it, as probation is supposed to mirror being a full BN
  3. Whether maps "good enough" should be nominated without modding received mixed answers
    1. Mostly comes down to laziness and it simply not being worth further improving some maps
  4. Evaluating BNs based on unpolished maps is not a realistic workload unless pre-filtered
  5. Modding v2 has caused some to feel less inclined to mod, but others to feel more inclined, concerns are mostly about
    1. Lacking features like formatting, proper kudosu system, and cohesiveness and chronology of mods
    2. Pages loading slowly, being difficult to follow, and generally feeling impersonal
