Welcome to Real Cute Tournament 2020!

Spreadsheet | Player Registration CLOSED | Staff Registration | Discord | Twitch | Challonge | BWS Sheet

INFO

  1. 1v1 / Head to Head, ScoreV2, Failed scores count
  1. Double Elimination / Bracket Reset
  1. Rank range: #2.500 - #12.500 with BWS applied (badges for o!std tournaments are counted towards BWS). Use this form to calculate your rank. (you may be +/- 50 ranks out of this range once signups close)
  1. 32 players, chosen through Qualifiers if there are more sign-ups
  1. This tournament is for players from Europe only. If your country is listed on this list and you match the required criteria, you are eligible to sign up. (For Armenia, Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan UTC+3 is forced to avoid scheduling issues)
  1. To be accepted into the tourney, you have to sign up through the Google Form and join the Discord Server and change your nickname to your osu! name. If you can't be found in the Discord server (either due to not joining or having a Discord nickname which differs from your osu! nickname) you will not be able to participate.
  1. Staff members are not allowed to play in the tournament, except for Streamers, Commentators, and GFX artists.
  1. All maps will be played with No Fail enabled.
  1. All times are adjusted to Daylight Savings Time (if your country doesn't have DST anymore, don't pay this any attention).

RULES

If something is not covered by the rules, common sense should be used.

  1. Your opponent in RO32 will be decided through your placement in the Qualifiers -> #1 vs #32, #2 vs #31, and so on.
  1. This is a double-elimination tournament with bracket reset.
  1. BWS is applied. Please use this form to check your BWS rank.
  1. You must be within the rank range when registrations close. You can be outside of the range when signing up, but if you don't match the criteria when registrations close, you will not be accepted into the tournament.
  1. You must register using the form above and join the Discord and change your username in the Discord server to match your osu! username. If you don't follow these instructions, you will not be accepted into the tournament. No other form of registration is allowed (no DMs etc.)
  1. You must pass screening to be allowed to play in the tournament.
  1. We reserve the right to reject any suspicious registrations.

MATCH PROCEDURE / DETAILS

Qualifier Procedure

  1. The referee will create the lobby ~10 minutes before the starting time, ping you in the Discord server and send out the invites shortly after. (if you did not receive the invite, please let the referee know through either Discord or osu! pm)
  1. You have 5 minutes to join the lobby. If you don't manage to join in time, you will have to play in a different qualifier lobby.
  1. You will play through the whole qualifiers pool once in the order they are in on the spreadsheet.
  1. If you disconnected during a map, you may replay it after the pool has been played through by yourself.
  1. The highest score on a map will receive #1 = 1 point for that map (#2 = 2 points, #3 = 3 points and so on | if two players get the same score, the place will be split-> 2 players on #3 = 3 points each). The points each player acquired will be added up, and the total score will be compared against the other players. The lower your total points, the higher you place in seeding. If two players end up with the same total points, the raw scores from all maps will be added up, and the player with more points will place higher in the seeding.

Bracket Stage Procedure

  1. The referee will create the lobby ~10 minutes before the starting time, ping you in the Discord server and send out the invites shortly after. (if you did not receive the invite, please let the referee know through either Discord or osu! pm). If the referee did not ping/contact you, please ping the hosts. If nobody responds (which shouldn't happen, but just in case), please don't ping the referees until 10min since the original match time have passed.
  1. You have 10 minutes to join the lobby. If you don't manage to join in time, the match will be counted as a win for your opponent. You must have joined the lobby once as proof that you were really on time, in case your opponent doesn't show up.
  1. If neither of the players shows up, they will be able to reschedule to a different time (rescheduling rules mentioned below apply). If no time suitable for both players can be found, the referee will !roll 2 to decide who will be awarded the win.
  1. In case of a disconnect, you will be able to replay the map once if the disconnect happened before 1/2 through the map. If a disconnect happens after this point, the point will go to your opponent, no matter who had the higher score at the point of disconnection.
  1. If a player disconnect, but does not show themselves as online on osu!/on Discord within 10 minutes of disconnecting, the match is forfeited.
  1. Both players will be asked to roll. Whoever rolls the higher number gets to choose between Picking and Banning first, or Picking and Banning second.
  1. Aborting a map is only possible once, and only within the first 30 seconds of a map. Any requests to abort after that will be ignored by the referee.
  1. As there are no FM maps, this shouldn't really be all that important, but EZ scores in TB will be multiplied with 2.25x. Mods are not required on TB, but are allowed if you choose so.

Scheduling / Reschedules:

All matches are supposed to happen from Friday 12 UTC to Sunday 21 UTC. If you schedule for a time outside of this time period, it is subject to final confirmation by the hosts/refs.

DO NOT PING THE REFS FOR ANY RESCHEDULES!

All times shown are in UTC. Please use this converter in case you don't know how to convert UTC to your timezone.

  1. For qualifiers: please claim a lobby using the pinned format in the Discord server in the #scheduling - channel. If you wish to switch your qualifiers lobby, please use the correct pinned format and post it in the same channel.
  1. If you don't show up to your qualifiers lobby, you may play in any other lobby if there is still free space. Please let the hosts know what lobby you will play in, in case you missed your original one. If it is really short notice until the next lobby, please let the referee know so you get an invite.
  1. If you don't show up to any qualifiers lobby, you will not pass. If you can't make any of the lobbies, you may request a custom time for your lobby (subject to final confirmation from Hosts/Referee).
  1. For bracket stages: if the assigned time does not work with your schedule/you don't like it, please reschedule your match using the format from the pinned message.
  1. Reschedules will be accepted until 12hrs before the original time of the match, and only if you reschedule to a later time. If you reschedule to an earlier time, reschedules will only be accepted until 12hrs before the new time of the match.
  1. If you post your reschedule later than 12hrs before the original/new time, acceptance is subject to final confirmation from Hosts/Referees. If no referee can be found for that time, we may decline the reschedule and your match will be played at the original time (you may try and reschedule to a different time).
  1. For potential matches: basically the same rules as for normal bracket stage matches apply, but please keep in mind that you would have to play two matches that weekend. If your first match is on Sat 20UTC, you obviously can not reschedule your potential match/es to a time before that. If you try anyways, the reschedule will obviously not be accepted. There are NO exceptions to any potential match being played before the first match.
  1. Any reschedules sent either through DMs, in a different channel, etc. will not be taken into consideration.
  1. Any reschedules that don't at least vaguely follow the format will not be accepted. (If your reschedule post is insufficient, we will let you know and give you a chance to fix it)
If you display toxic behaviour, either in the Discord server in general or towards other players/staff in/outside a match, you might be disqualified from the tournament.

Any no-shows without prior notice might disbar you from participating in any future iterations of this tournament.

  1. The format of the tournament stages will be as follows:
    1. BO9 for RO32 and RO16
    1. BO11 for QF and SF

  1. The size of the mappool for the tournament stages will be as follows (there will be no FM maps):
