There should be forum badges that shows up below your username in all your posts. I had this idea from other forums which had these awards and medals.
Here is where it would appear:
These badges would act as titles that a user will have for fulfilling something awesome or something unusual. It could also be given just because the user wants to have it. Badges are somehow similar to achievements, but it won't only cover in-game achievements. It would show how active a user is in the forums or how much he/she is into mapping.
A new forum will be used for awarding users their badges or letting users request for badges. It would be confirmed by someone (forum mod maybe) if the badge requests is something that a program can't track. One example of this is the number of skins a user have made.
Badges for users that wants useless badges will voted by people on the forum. Some of these badges would be:
- player who helps out in tech support a lot
- player who likes to spam in the forums
- player who makes the most nuked feature requests
- player who likes to post evil stuff >:3
- perv players xD
Well... you could remove these useless badges. I just thought of it so might as well include it here :>
Here's a few badges I'm thinking of:
- mapper with 50+ approved/ranked maps
- mapper with 100+ approved/ranked maps
- player who joined 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 10, 20, 50, and so on years ago
- player who joined in the last 7 days
- player who made 10+ skins for osu!
- current top ten in each game mode
- player who supported osu! for 12, 60, 120, 240, and so on months
I might be adding more stuff if this gets a chance to be accepted.
