Osu!Mania: Have the board NOT block the BG/Video

Exactly. You can't (in terms of BG/Video)

Mania would look much much better if the board wasn't blocking the background (especially for video where you can't see literally half of what's going on).

its all ready possible to add transparency to the board. but i haven't figured that out yet :(

It's already possible, but you have to set it manually. You can change both the transparency and color of each lane by changing the color argument in your 4K.ini through 8K.ini files in your skin folder.

The format is Colour#: red,green,blue,alpha
You can use values 0 through 255

For 4K.ini you would probably want something like this.

Colour1: 0,0,0,180
Colour2: 0,0,0,180
Colour3: 0,0,0,180
Colour4: 0,0,0,180

Other arguments you can change are ColumnWidth, ColumnLine, JudgementLine, ColumnStart, and SpecialPositionLeft

You shouldn't have to know skinning to see the BG/Video... We all aren't skinners (at least I'm not...)

Yep... I agree.... Not all osu! players are not skinners....

I wanna suggest to have a option to move the BG/Video at the right side... Also to have a option to make the board of the gear to be transparent..... Like what I was suggesting it here...

Even while spectating, the same question applies.

It adds more of a effect rather than it is for entertainment. You really don't need to see it.

However, it does't make a difference to me whether this gets implemented.

Who would want to view a video through a mania board? And this is skinnable so I don't see why this is even necessary. If you can't skin it, i'm sure someone will.

Uhm its not about transparency its about showing the video in full size next to it and not like behind the skin i think

If it was up to me, the osu!mania background would be semi-transparent by default. Maybe I'll change that. Having it opaque and blocking content does indeed feel wrong.
