Hi, I'm pretty new and am considering buying a mechanical keyboard, but I'm not so sure if I would want to play with red switches because of the less satisfying click. I would use the keyboard to play other games beside Osu!, which is why I'm asking, would blue switches be fine to play with?

i used 2012 blackwidow with blue switches for 6 years and i liked it more than my new keyboard with red switches when it comes to daily use (typing, playing moba/fps games etc)
i dont even play osu much anymore but i tried to compare blue and red switches and somehow i was more satysfied by red ones

i would personally recommend linear switches for osu but it all comes down to preference
It really also depends on your ambition. You wouldnt even need a mechanical keyboard if you are not aiming for the top. Though i think that linear switches are better; or at least not clicky on the pressing phase but on the releasing phase. I would advise red, silver or brown for top performance.
Really comes down to preference. Anything with low actuation force and that is satisfying to play with is pretty good. Blue's are exceptional but aren't my thing. I personally use Cherry MX Silents, but have been looking at swapping them for Cherry MX Speeds
