Hello, I am creating my first skin, and I need help to know if it is possible to change the speed of the animations of osu! Mania, more specifically the lightingN and lightingL elements, since I need them to go slower to give a feeling of fluidity, now same animation goes very fast

As far as I know - no. It has it's own framerate that can't be changed, as it's said in skinnable files list(skin.ini). You can try making different number of frames if it helps.

Do you mean duplicate each frame ?, I have already done it, it worked with the lightingN element, but I do not see a difference in the lightingL element, so it made me think, perhaps there is a limited number of frames ?, for example, lightingL has approximately 80 frames, but may the animation only recognize a limit, for example 50?

Hello, I try to put more photos to reduce the speed of the animation, but there does not seem to be many changes, my skin is being created on a PC that has the Stable (Fallback) version, then I try my skin on another PC with the more version recent from osu !, and when I try the animations there, they seem too slow, in theory it is good since I can adjust the amount of frames to have the desired speed, however, I cannot design my skin on the pc with the stable version of osu! , now my question is, because the speeds vary in one version with respect to the other and can they be solved?, I mean that if I can configure something so that my Fallback version has the same frame reading speed as in the Stable version

They might be controlled by AnimationFramerate (in skin.ini under [General]) in one of the versions? I doubt that's the case but i'd say it's worth looking into.

Thanks for answering, what versions should I try on my skin.ini?

It's archaic and can't remember how accurate it is but I believe "LightFramePerSecond:" is what you're looking for.

Edit: Nvm that was for "mania-stage-light-#". Also version shouldn't matter.

You're probably going to be locked in at 60fps* and yes there is a length for some elements. Here's an old table I made that might help you (resolutions can be ignored).

* -Some animations have to follow within the rules of the games sprite duration so therefore they have a variable framerate in order to shorten/lengthen things up. Mania has a couple of these which is also tied into the BPM scale as to not cause obstructions like a note being covered by an animation that hasn't finished yet.
