I've come back playing osu mania after a 4 year break and as expected I lost pretty much most of my skill.
I was able to S some 4 to 4.3 stars but now I even struggle to get S on 3.1 maps, I don't know how to handle this frustration of being not able to do pattern that previously I did so easily and not now and how to approach this game trying to back where I was-

The best option I've found is to continuously force yourself to try the maps you could complete before. It's frustrating as all hell, but the feeling of accomplishment when you finally beat your old record is like a drug.

My sympathies though, I was super frustrated after a 3 month hiatus, can't imagine how frustrating it must be for you

I've had several long breaks over the years. After a 4 year break I would suggest finding out exactly what your skill level looks like on a variety of different skills.

Figure out where your weaknesses are and focus on practice for those skills.

I'm not going to say forget about your old skill level, but make an attempt to look at things like you're learning a new game. Dont expect results overnight, just play things relatively appropriate for practice at your current skill level.

You can still play maps you used to play to gage your improvement over time, but try not to compare yourself to your old skill level until you get closer to where it was.
