PM notification lag can occasionally cause a player to miss the last note of a map which can get frustrating, so I think it makes more sense to show the notification after the song is over on the results screen. I think this has been requested before but I couldn't find it.

i'd rather have the chat popup on breaks but i havn't experienced any lagg except for when a skype friend goes online.

Does is make you lag as well?
still, I wonder why this doesn't even work (for me at least)
I remember when I had notifications on all the time, that didn't really lag me. (But then there was an update)
But I have it turned on but it won't pop-up until I reach a break or finish the map, which is like having that option off-ticked.

This sounds Tech Supportesque to me. I don't think Notification lag is a relevant reason to change a behaviour. I've never gotten notification lag. How many notifications do you need to get to start lagging because of it?

It's not laggy, just it's annoying, more in multiplayer when you're seeing your # on the same screen section, lol.
