I DONT KNOW SHIT ABOUT OSU OR MOST FAMOUS PLAYERS/STREAMERS, TAPPING STYLES, INSIDE JOKES OR ANYTHING
I FEEL LIKE AN OUTCAST IN THE COMMUNITY THAT IM A PART OF CUZ IM NOT REALLY GOOD AT THE GAME TwT
ALL I KNOW IS COOKIZE'S FREEDOM DIVE 800PP PLAY AND LETS BE HONEST EVERYONE KNOWS ABOUT, HELL ON MY GRANDPA'S DEATH BED I SAW HIM REWATCHING THAT PLAY TwT/j

ITS 50 SOMETHING HOURS SPREAD OVER FROM 2021-NOW
AT FIRST I JOINED THIS GAME CUZ MY LAPTOP WAS SHITTY (still is btw) AND I NEVER INTERACTED WITH THE COMMUNITY
THEN I HAD A HIATUS AND THEN FOR SOME GOD FORSAKEN REASON I STARTED PLAYING AGAIN AND NEVER LOOKED BACK TwT

Firstly, why are you screaming?

Secondly, I don't know a lot about the community either anymore, but I don't really care. If you want to learn about it, then spend time within Discord servers and the game's subreddit if you want to know more. Follow people from the community on Twitter/other social media platforms and over time you will pick these things up. After that, things should get more easy for you, I believe.
I do want to say, however, that it is perfectly fine to just enjoy the game as a casual and not interact with the community more than this. It's more than okay.

This is the biggest one. Personally really dislike it, though. Very cliquish in my experience.

Yeah... Community feels really toxic in many places. I tried to find some osu community that feels welcoming but I hadnt found one (If anyone knows about one hit me up!)

its not that the community's toxic
its just that its a tight knitted community, its like trying to join a pre established friend group :(

From personal experience I've never actually tried to fit in the community and it kinda just happened. I know its different for everyone but i don't think you should rush to find your place in the community. Also i do think the osu game server that Naiad mentioned is very cliquish too, so not really a good place to fit in.

Welp, if you want to then you (and maybe anyone else here) can add me on discord. I might have a little server that you could join. Its mainly where most of my countries top osu players are but theres other people there too. I believe they wouldnt mind you there as well. my @ is in my osu profile.
i dont usually do this sort of thing but ya know, special occasion.

Osu!, like many other game communities, has a bunch of mini networks inside of it. Commonly built around Streamers/Content Creators or Country Communities, but there's many other types. Currently you're speaking on the osu! forums, which is a whole community in itself.
I'd argue it's impossible to just fit in to the osu! community as a whole, find a small niche within the broader community and try falling into that instead.

Feel free to introduce yourself a bit in the introduction forum, that's usually the first step in the forums at least :)
Then, most talks take place either in Gameplay & Rankings, General Discussion or Off-Topic.

As for the discord places, please do not post them here - instead you can take a look here.
