OBS crashes osu! immediately after alt-tabbing

Let's emphasize that I had no issues with streaming / recording fullscreen osu! with most optimal gameplay settings like few months ago (because I think that's when my last twitch stream happened)

For some reason, recently (started occuring like 1 week ago) when I choose game capture on OBS with osu! selected as a speciffic window (fullscreen app recording behaves the same way), as soon as I alt-tab from the game into OBS and it tries to show a preview of the game, the game crashes, so I have to first open osu!, go to OBS, pick osu! for the game capture and alt-tab straight into it (then the game works for as long as I alt-tab into OBS). I can't even swap scenes with macro because the same thing happens.

Also, for some reason, when I play the game and the preview is displayed in OBS on the second monitor, game behaves normally (the problem still occurs when alt-tabbing)

I have no idea why it started to behave like that, since It has been all fine before and I did not change any major in game or OBS setting in the mean time. (only thing that changed in my overall setup is the mouse but I don't think it has any relevance here)

Im playing on fullscreen without compatibility mode, uncapped frame rate (as I always have been). Only changing to compatibility mode / borderless did something but it's too much pain to use since on comp-mode every time I alt-tab and want to get back to the game I have to try multiple times (gets really annoying), and borderless adds input lag, which is unbearable, so I opted out of using those since these are not even fixes but workarounds.

Tried every "working" method I could find on this forum so you don't have to redirect me to any post.

I am having the same issue, but I don't even get a crash log for it. Was on cutting edge, switched to stable and still crashes.

Do you have any pending OS updates? If so please apply them.

If OBS is displaying an overlay onto osu! then it might be causing the crash, make sure no overlay is being cast onto the game.

Everything is up to date, no overlays (didn't even know that was possible), still gets the crashes.

I use game capture in obs when I get the crashes. Tried switching to display capture and deleted the game capture one and I could tab in and out without any issues. Seems to be something with the game capture that messes up something.

Does this work for you too, Picaro?
