I've been playing 4K for a while now but I've been playing osu a lot more recently.

Anyways, I realize once I start getting into it with 4k, My fingers get all wonky. It's always something.
Usually my pinkie on the left curls up and it hurts like hell afterwards. Everytime I try to keep something like that in check, something else happens with my fingers. My thumb was the victim last time, I don't even know how.

Does anyone know how to prevent this? it feels like it's a personal thing but no matter what position except for just "Straight fingers" I do, something WILL hurt, and straight fingers is hard to keep. I keep trying to fan out my pinkies but that makes me lose focus and it feels harder to hit certain patterns.

Try different key layouts? 🤷‍♂️

sounds like you’re tensing too much or using improper technique. I don’t know what you mean by “Straight Fingers” but typical tapping technique is to curl your fingers. You should also look at a recording of yourself playing and try finding some reasons why you might be doing that. You could also look at handcams of some top players to see how their playstyle avoids that.
