When you first download osu!, automatically save the first 25 scores that said user sets on the servers permanently. The servers may only save up to 3 scores on any difficulty, and up to 5 for any beatmap set, so that the user doesn't just save 25 scores of the tutorial.

Right now, most old scores are probably gonna be wiped after being replaced with a much better one. The chance for the user to just download the score for no reason and not reset their computer or "quit" the game (you are here forever, don't ya' remember?) is low.

In the future, it will be a fun journey to check out those replays (and see how bad you were).

Is this something that users actually care about? I can only speak for myself but I don't really care about my oldest plays and currently one way you could approach this is by simply not overwriting older plays as you improve.

It is good way to see much we have improved overtime. I think it is also fun and nostologic to watch your very first days of playing osu!
