Can play hard maps but get bad on really easy maps?

I don't know if anyone's like me, but i'm able to handle 4-5 stars map pretty well. But if i play something easy like 3* or 2* or just a sudden slower scroll speed, i mess up and choke a lot, what is this called and why is it even a real thing?

It's normal lower star maps have lower AR and being good at lower AR is its own skillset

The "sudden slower scroll speed" parts are called SVs (speed variations) and its its own skillset :p
Theyre mostly found in osumania i believe

Yeah i forgot to mention that i'm a Mania player, but i love playing SV, i just feel like playing with a slow scroll speed is a pain

Playing AR7 is (apparently) a skillset on it's own, which is weird to me because I guess I'm just very good at AR7-8. (AR5 or less above 3.5* is another matter entirely, though).
